About the Trust

Great Oak Multi Academy Trust aims to create a group of Church of England primary schools connected by a common commitment to learn from each other by sharing good practice and experiences, as well as supporting each other across the Academy community. Our purpose is to work as a team to develop collaboration to ensure every child within the Great Oak Multi Academy Trust has the best possible educational experiences.

Our key principles of the Trust prioritise progress, inclusion, aspiration, excellence and enjoyment . These principles are teaching and learning focused, underpinned by excellent professional development opportunities for all members of the Trust.

Key features of the way we intend to work, include:

          The recruitment of ambitious passionate teachers and committed support staff who want to make a difference to children’s lives;

          High quality training within the Trust and through wider partnership working with groups such as the Saffron Alliance and Collaborative Challenge Cluster;

          Centralised back office support with specialists in finance, personnel and premises;

          Centralised back office provision should be achieved at a lower cost releasing more resource teaching and learning priorities;

          Good teaching to be complimented by high expectations of behaviour and organisation;

          Skills led governance to support and challenge each school:

 We are currently a small, geographically close Trust, with an ambitious drive for high quality provision in all of our schools. We will be able to provide high levels of support to our schools, based on individual circumstances and a strong local knowledge.

It is anticipated that the Trust will grow to extend support to a small number of other schools and academies who will benefit from and contribute to our ethos and experience, and are committed to continual improvement.  The Trust aims to provide support to all schools , where required, to establish securely good or outstanding schools across the Trust.

 The Trust leadership is able to offer high levels of support to Headteachers and individual schools in a context of earned autonomy.  Each school has the potential to support and be supported by other schools, offering excellent opportunities for development and growth within the Trust. The Trust seeks to establish a learning community where staff of all levels are able to coach, support and develop through working together. The Trust is able to offer leaders the opportunity to share good practice and be influential beyond the boundaries of their own school.
